Weekend Dog Blogging #16

It is freezing today here in the greater NYC region. And D is colddddd! So it was time to pull out her brand new coat. It is a very very bright orange--brighter than even the butternut squash soup I made last night.

A warm bowl of soup was the perfect respite from the chilly air. It paired beautifully with a large chunk of sourdough.

Are you in college? Maybe grad school. You wouldn't be able to fit that cutie in a dorm room that's for sure.
You're tagged Rose!

ha ha...She is a cutie--albeit dumb as a doorknob. I was dogsitting for the parents this weekend. Grad school it is. Tagged? Another meme going around?

I like the idea of a bright colored coat. That way, the drivers won't miss us when we cross the street. One of my dogs needs a coat during cold weather. She has short hair.

Your soup looks yummy and inviting.

Best,
Paz

Never thought about that--the drivers seeing the dogs (and us humans). We just thought she looked fabulous :-)

I liked the soup so much I'm going to make it again.

Oh oh oh! Boxer! *siiiiiiiiiigh* I grew up with boxers. I really miss having one. Yeah, maybe they can be really dumb sometimes but I think they are deliberately dumb so we can take care of them like babies. You know, I KNOW how much my family is obsessed with boxer now--I took one look at the button down ears and the way the sun shone on brown fur and knew IMMEDIATELY that she is a boxer. Didn't even need to see a face. All of us in the family can spot a boxer at a thousand paces.

Yup, she's a boxer. Purebred for WHATEVER that is worth. They do love to be coddled--she always has to be sitting right next to you on the couch, so she can get all the attention.

D is actually are second boxer. We had a much smarter one who was the sweetest thing, so much so we named her "Sugar".

Whenever I see a boxer on the street, I coo over it. ALL THE TIME!
