And the Hungry Rose has been visiting...
I'll let this picture give you the answer.
Not too long ago I was in "sunny" Seattle (well, I happened to have had 3 days of sunshine while I was there, so I didn't exactly get a realistic sense of the weather).
However, I have just come back from a family vacation on a cruise to Athens, the Greek Islands, Istanbul and Naples. Hence, the hints from my last post: yogurt, lamb and pizza. Believe it or not, I only ended up eating one of the three!
Here's some food porn to keep you busy while I reflect and write up my recent journeys:

Is that a gyro I see in your hand?? I've been obsessed with gyros lately. Also - does that yellow thing in the first picture doesn't contain people? How terrifying, I'd be on the ground eating instead (probably a gyro).
Can't wait to hear about the rest of your journey!
I am soooo jealous. I've been to Greece, but not the Islands, and spent one day in Naples. I am wanting to go to Turkey so much!! How was it?
mebeth: That's my mother's gyro! She had the biggest craving for one and this was after we had a huge meal of lamb and rice at a local restaurant. The best gyro I ever had was in Paris a few years ago...I haven't found a real delicious gyro in NYC yet.
Yup, that 'yellow thing' sure does contain people. It was some sort of thrill ride that spun you in the air-upside down, right side up...it was making me dizzy just looking at it. My friend dared me to go on it, but I'm no thrill-seeker.
kayln: Turkey was really interesting and although I only went to Istanbul and Kusadasi, I hear that rest of Turkey is very beautiful.
I'm so glad I went and got a taste for all these cities. I really want to go back now :-)
welcome back with more food porn...chuckle!
Just heading to Seattle myself by the end of the month. Cannot wait!
How fun! Glad to see you had a good time!

hi, i've encountered you through the blog The Girl Who Ate Everything...or Robyn's food blog. I am writing an article for NYU's student newspaper on her website, and I need some opinions and thoughts from people who have previewed her site. if you could give me your email, or e-mail me at mc2716@nyu.edu that would be fantastic. Thank you
Those colored glass bottles are gorgeous!
