Guess what I'm making today?

I'm working on a few cooking projects during this week, my spring break. Can you figure out what I'm making?

Here's a picture of homemade "something" I made this morning:

and a picture of some other ingredients I'm using:

Any guesses?

I know, so I won't spoil the game. But I just wanted to stop by and say WAY TO GO!
You've given me inspiration and hope!

Rose,

I'm jealous you get a Trader Vic's. Surely you up in New York have enough nice grocery stores and can spare one for those of us down South!

I like Mona's guess, although maybe lasagna?

I meant Trader Joe's. I suppose this is what happens when you respond to food blogs after looking through a cookbook catalog.

That's got to be home made cheese in the first photo! Is the second one fixings for marinara sauce? I cant wait until the answer is revealed...

(and the first three letters of your word verification are EAT - that must be a good omen)

ALL:Everyone seems to have been on the right track :-)

I made ricotta cheese from a recipe at Becks & Posh that was SO EASY!!!

While that was cooling I made marinara sauce (several commentators on my last post complaining about store bought sauce prices sent me links for marinara recipes) with the ingredients in the second picture.

And what was it all for? Jennifer got it right: I made lasagne for friends. Check out my next post for pics and the recipe!
